The most Wonderful time of the Year - November blog hop

Hello! Happy Friday!
Do you realize it's the 25th of November? YES, Christmas is only a month away. Yikes!!!

Today is the last monthly blog hop for 2011 of the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. Our blog hop group is part of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. I've been negligent in participating in the monthly blog hop...sigh, but since I have been making nothing but Christmas cards lately, this month I can take part...duh.

Anyway if you are doing the blog hop already and came here from Nadyne's blog then you are in the right place.

If you want to start in the beginning of the blog hop or are lost, here is a full list of the participants in blog-hop order:
Cordine
Kathy
Monique
Nadyne
Norma (you are here)
Peggie
Robin
Tanya

So this is the card that I've just finished.

I love this Magnolia cutie. She is called Tilda with Cross Stich Heart from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. Isn't she just adorable?

This stamp is available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store for anything and everything Magnolia. Diana has a large selection of the full-size as well as the mini version of Magnolia stamps. Magnolia doohickey cutting dies are available there also. New in stock are Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn dies. And check out the Memory Box dies for pre-order--I've got to get some of these!!! Diana offers discounts, excellent services and you can earn store credits to boot!

My card is another easel card. I've used a Go Kreate die for the basic shape.

I would like to use this card as my entry to the following challenges:

(3 of ribbon, images, DP's, layers, embellishments)

Merry Christmas

Hello!
I have another white-on-white Christmas card to show you. This was the theme at a couple of the challenge blogs, so I just had to play along.

When you think about it, white-on-white cards can be quick to do because you don't have to match designer papers--that's what usually takes me forever to do...LOL.

This is one of the adorable images from Magnolia's latest collection, Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. This one is called A Little Gift Tilda. Isn't she just too cute? She is available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store, a fabulous source of everything Magnolia (stamps--full-size and mini version, doohickey die cuts). You get excellent services there, along with discounts and store credits. Check it out HERE!

This is a mini easel card. I consider this a mini because it is only 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Lots of dies and layers and textures here.

Here's a list of the challenges that I am entering with this card:

Passion for Promarkers – Week 126 – White on white
Dutch Dare Card Challenges – DDCC #139 – All White
Totally Gorjuss – Challenge 107 – Swirly Whirly
Polka Doodles – Week 46 Challenge – Shaped Christmas Card
Everybody-Art-Challenge – Challenge 168 – Little Present
ABC DT Challenge for Novemver - Christmas Card
Flutter By Wednesday - Challenge #180 - Open Challenge

have yourself a merry Christmas

Hello!
Woo-hoo...I'm making progress with my Christmas cards, I think. Not as fast as I want, but I'm slowly getting there. This one is using one of my favorites color combos--I have several favorites...LOL--black and white, plus one other color. The other colour is of a rich deep red, burgundy. At least it looks burgundy in real life...haha.

I made my own DP's for this card--not that I wanted to, sort of had to...LOL. I started with colouring Tilda first and after I finished, I realized that I didn't have any designer papers with the same shade of red/burgundy, but thank goodness I do have a stamp pad with the right colour.

The first paper I simply started with a white cardstock and using a sentiment rubber stamp and a Tim Holtz distress ink stamp pad Aged Mahogany, I stamped the entire page with the sentiments.

For the second paper, I punched out a variety of snowflakes--different sizes and shapes--using post-it notes (only using the section that has the sticky back). I then randomly placed the snowflakes on a white cardstock. Using a make-up sponge and the same Aged Mahogany stamp pad, I dabbed colours all over the paper. Then I did the same using a Black Soot stamp pad this time. Once I was satisfied with the way the colours look I removed the punched snowflakes and voila!

The houses in the background is done using a Dreamweaver brass template, white embossing paste and glitter.

This adorable image is of Something For You Tilda. She is from Magnolia's Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. Check out the Collection at Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and mini version, doohickey cutting dies, magazines ...) and excellent services (including discounts and store credit too)!

Angel Tilda in Blue - Magnolia-licious Challenge

Hello!

This has got to be one of the fastest card I've made. LOL...I mistook the date of our challenge and thought I had another week to create my DT card. Instead there I was Sunday night scrambling in making this one. I looked over the cards I made last year and chose one of them and pretty well went with a similar design/layout, using different papers and image.

Oh yes, this is for the new colour challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, seeing that this is a new month and it's the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Pat is our hostess for November. For the colour challenge, she has chosen the colours: blue and silver.

So, my card is this shaped easel card. This cute little angel is Halo Tilda and she is from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. Check out this collection at Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of anything and everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and mini version, doohickey cutting dies, magazines,... discount and store credit too).

I hope you will join us in our colour challenge. There's is a prize of a $25.00 Gift Certificate for a shopping spree at the Magnolia-licious store. And to help in inspiring you, have a look at the fabulous cards and projects that the other DT teamates have created HERE!

Warm holiday wishes from a white winter wonderland

Hello. Happy Sunday!

Sorry, I haven't posted for a week now. Yikes! that's because I was working on 3, yes, 3 cards instead of just 1. I started with this one. I luvvvv white-on-white cards.

I've made this an easel card of course.

Here's a close-up to show the layers that I like, to give the card that more 3-dimensional look.

This image is from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. She is called Winter Tilda. She was the first sneak-peek that I saw from the new stamp collection and I though she was just so adorable and I knew that the rest of the images were going to be just as adorable...and I was right! Check out the Collection at Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of anything and everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and mini version, doohickey cutting dies, magazines ...) and excellent service to boot (discount and store credit too)!

And because I like white-in-white cards so much and I like this design/layout, I decided to make 2 additional cards. So, my 2nd card...

This is Tilda With Snow Heart. She is another adorable image from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011.

And the 3rd card...

This image is from last year's collection Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010 and she is called Tilda in Christmas Coat. I've added some liquid appliqué for the snow underneath Tilda's boots. My lovely friend Christine has sent it to me as I couldn't find it in the stores locally. (Thanks Christine, it works and looks great!)

Challenges that I am entering with these cards:

Paper Sundaes - Challenge #94 - Rectangles
